Hey prints!

Hi everyone? 

Hope we are having a good week. Thursday is sort of my favorite day of the week because I can feel Friday so close to me and I get to sleep without thinking about my alarm and all the other things that come with the other days of the week.

Well I'm going to get on with the post. I wasn't always a girl for prints, I almost hated them. I liked my clothes colorful but plain, but now I love all kinds of prints.  I thought about this post when I was talking to a friend of mine about getting an animal print chiffon blouse from the thriftshop (hey thriftshop!) and she goes "no I don't wear prints, I don't like prints" and literally so many beautiful prints flashed in my head and I said to her you don't know what you are missing out on. ( I still hope I could convince her to get the blouse) 

Prints add so much more to our outfits, I mean some days I still like plain clothes and I get on fine . But I would naturally go with a cute blouse with nice bold prints or a pretty skirt with flowery prints.

Styling 101

Hi there!

How are we all doing? I had a pretty chilled week and I'm happy to be dropping off my favorite wardrobe item and how I love to wear this.

Well I'm a cami blouse lover. I love these in every fabric but most especially in chiffon or silk. I love how they come in all colors, patterns, cuts and designs. They are basically my most important wardrobe item.  

I am going to share with you how I wear these to work and switch to an evening look or a casual look or just my basic go to look.

Casual look

One of my favorite go to looks is pairing my cami with cute shorts and a throw on or a blazer. I love how chic and comfortable the look is especially with statement flats.

Another look I always opt for is my cami blouse and ripped skinny jeans. This is all me in one picture. Super easy to put together and can be switched up from heels to flats without even trying. This is my most casual look! 

Evening look

For a nice dinner look, this is how I like to pair my cami blouse

With nicely fitted pants or skirt and awesome heels. And I most especially like to match colors or pick closely knit colors. And for this look I usually like a nice silky fabric.

Finally is my smart casual/all time cami look

This is me! To work, for lunch, just hanging out, to the movies, to church, to a party basically everywhere. When I have nothing to wear, when I have what to wear. This is always me!

Why I Love Shopping at Thrift Stores

Hello guys!

I'm happy to introduce you to the official blog section for TheThriftShopNG. Everything about thrifting from the best thrift stores to why you should thrift and how to style and care for your clothes will be discussed in the posts to come.

Today I'm going to share with you why I love thrift stores. This is going to be a short post, hope you all enjoy it.

I'm one of those who loves unique pieces. I love having very different stuff from everyone and the best places to get these are thrift stores. The items are always gorgeous. I go in to buy one item and I'm out with a bunch of stuff. They are all colorful and appealing.

Next reason why I love thrifting is because I love everything vintage. Which sort of takes me back to my first point – they are all unique and chic. I totally love accessories like neckpieces and the beautiful rings  and clothes from vintage stores. Sometimes I wish I was born a little earlier just so I could have a wardrobe filled with everything vintage.

Also for this post, if you love to shop as much as I do then thrifting is for you. Lol. I always need something new to wear or I go to a store and I can't resist not buying something. I love how inexpensive everything is at a thrift store. And I love that the clothes are in extremely good condition even at the cheap prices.

Finally I love shopping at thrift stores because apart from vintage pieces, I also get a large range of modern items to select from and they are usually at super exciting prices.

Basically I'm happy I have a lot more options shopping at a thrift store and I never really overspend which is the real dream.
